Get Started with Your Account
To move forward, you’ll need to open a savings account to establish your membership. From there, you can select any additional features that fit your needs:
- Savings account (includes a $5 initial deposit funded by TruEnergy FCU)
- Checking account
- Debit card
- Online banking
- Mobile deposit
Select your membership eligibility: choose “I work for a qualifying employer”, then enter GUTTS.

Need help covering expenses as you get started?
You can apply for a Career Launch Loan through our personal loan application.
- Choose “Career Launch/Education” as your reason for the loan
- Funds can be used for training-related or personal expenses
To complete your application, you must upload:
- 2 recent paystubs
- Front and back of a valid ID
What Happens Next
Once you apply:
- A loan officer will review your application
- We may reach out with questions or next steps
- If approved, we will guide you through closing your loan

Membership with TruEnergy Federal Credit Union is required prior to loan funding. All loans are subject to credit approval. Rates, terms, and conditions may vary based on creditworthiness and other factors. Applicants must provide two recent paystubs and a valid government-issued ID (front and back) to complete the application. Career Launch Loans are personal loans and may be used for training-related or other personal expenses.
