Youth Savings & Checking Account Disclosures

APY = Annual Percentage Yield. Rates are accurate as of the publication date and are subject to change without notice. A minimum balance of $5.00 is required to open a Youth Savings Account. All minor accounts must include an adult (age 18 or older) as a joint owner. Youth Savings Accounts automatically convert to a Regular Share Account when the primary account holder turns 18. Account fees may reduce earnings.

The primary account holder for a Youth Checking Account must be between the ages of 14 and 17. Journey Checking Accounts automatically convert to a standard Adult Checking Account when the primary member reaches age 18.

Members aged 18 and under with an active Youth Account are eligible to earn up to $14 per quarter for receiving “A” grades. Valid documentation must be submitted within 30 days of the quarter’s end. Deposits are made within 7 business days of verification. Program is subject to change or cancellation without notice. Submit report cards to [email protected] or upload them at truenergyfcu.org/youth-accounts.

Children’s Privacy Notice (COPPA)

TruEnergy Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of children and complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Information submitted through the Report Card Rewards form may include a child’s name, age, grade level, school information, and account information necessary to process reward eligibility. This information is collected solely for the purpose of administering the Report Card Rewards program and will not be publicly shared or sold. Parents or legal guardians may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child’s personal information by contacting us at:
